EJ CommUniversity is designed to teach participants about what environmental justice is, the history of the national and local environmental justice movement, regulations and tools for policy change and how to be an effective advocate through community partnerships.
There are no prerequisites to participate in EJ CommUniversity, other than an interest in environmental issues and a willingness to collaboratively learn with people of all ages, races, and backgrounds.
The program welcomes students from all North Texas Colleges and Universities, community members impacted by environmental injustices, and members of the public interested in learning more.

What does climate change have to do with justice? A lot. These interactive workshops bring the urgent issues of air pollution, global warming, and environmental racism straight to your classroom.
Designed for students, these sessions connect science, lived experience, and social action, showing how climate change and pollution impact different communities in different ways and what young people can do about it.
Through a short lecture, hands-on activities, and real stories from frontline communities, students will explore many things.
